Nightlight

Poem By Doug Branson

an oasis of sorts
a refuge in the distance
beings who stalk to be kept at bay
for the moment
whether they slither or prowl

  1. I never heard of this form of poetry…then again…I don’t know too much about poetry! Perhaps I’ll give this form a shot someday. Where can I get one of those fancy Moon nightlights? There are beings I need to keep at bay.

      1. I’ll record something someday, but I’m not sure if it will be poetry. I may record a piece of dialogue that’s part of a story or something. We’ll see.

I need a full Moon nightlight! There are plenty of creepy crawlies around here, and they need to be pushed back into the darkness.

  2. I agree with Sinister; it is a very interesting form and I’m looking forward to learning more about it. Both the poem and the illustration had a magical feeling about them. Beautiful.
